Life as a House (Grade C+)

Starring:  Kevin Kline, Kristin Scott Thomas, Hayden Christensen,Jena Malone, Mary Steenburgen, Mike Weinberg, Scotty Leavenworth, Ian Somerhalder, Jamey Sheridan, Scott Bakula, Sandra Nelson, Sam Robards, John Pankow, Kim Delgado, Barry Primus

Relatively well done. Divorced man (Kline) has cancer and not much time to live.  His son is a punk who is hunting and alienated and presents a challenge to his family. Kline takes him for the summer to tear down an old house (that his much hated father built had left for him) and to build a new house together (heavy handed metaphor here).   Story is entirely predicable. But for what it is it is tolerable.  .
